that almost looks like the aftermarket stuff you can buy at most autoparts stores...now if you can find those bumpers and get them to fit you would be my idol

Funny you said that, I went to Pepboys and say a roll of the crome moulding with the adhesive backing. I wonder if that sfuff would work? Its only like $15 or so, but the problem would be tapering the end.
I dont know, I think Ill just give it a shot.

After I posted this, I started to look for the small bumpers and found them, but Lowcab, you're right..$$ .

I think I will just stick to my original plan and get the plastic euros. ooooooooor, shave the end caps of my current bumpers a lil smaller and have my current bumpers chromed....

your in cali so it prolly would be easier to find stuff like that. try being in ohio... i went to a parts store to get a K&N for my 91 gti. asked the guy behind the counter for one, and he said (without even looking and a mouth full of chew) "aw hell, they don't make'em for that car. if ya had a real car then i could prolly get ya one."

LOL!!!!!
Yeah, I guess I just take it for granted.
I live near LA and as you can imagine, its after market central!!! And the best part of it all is they compete for your business. For instance, a lil story, I had my vent windows on my passenger side busted (dont know how :x ) I priced the window in Orange County, ( the um, better part of CA 8) ) and the shops there wanted it for $160  .
I priced it in LA on a street called Alameda (So Cal might know it) and it was $50. :D Brand new and installed.

On that same street there are a bunch of garages, retailers, and wholesalers just begging for you to buy from them.

I guess we're just spoiled, right SoCal? :)

thats a long road trip!!!
i took a road trip to florida a few years back. me and a buddy drove my 83 gti down there, it was a lot of fun. we barely had any money, there were a few nights we slept in the gti! it was when the olympics were in atlanta GA....man, i guess that was awhile ago.
