First here is how I found the car.
The first phase had me chasing parts to replace.
I had some help with the welding, Here the patches are being welded to the doors.
Next the car was sent to the body shop.
(Notice the trunk lid has been replaced with one from an older Cabriolet to remove the third brake light.)
Thirty minuets after it came out of the paint booth.
Next came the reassembly
In the meantime the engine was rebuilt
Finally it all came together!
Check out the new position for the brake light!
GTI steering wheel and a real golf ball shift knob.
I love the way the rear deck came out to make it a roadster.
