Works out to around $130ish US. It is for real I have been talking with the fellow. But I am more concerned with how to buy it and not get jacked for my money. Considering it would need to be shipped it is to far to pick up I have to pay in advance somehow.

Ossining NY USA is about all I know at the moment! Maybe someone here knows him or of him from the Vortex. Goes by the name ediddy2010, apparently it was a gift from someone. He says it has never been outside his house yet cause he had no use for it. He has offered it to me for $100us + ship. I was just going to make a counter offer of a few bucks less. Anyway as much as it hurts to turn down  what I think is a great deal it looks like finances are leading me in other directions at the moment with stuff the kids need and want. So I have supplied all the info I know, if anyone would like to jump in and take my place and grab it up...hurry......
You can owe me later.......

Finally have an update:

There's 16 people signed up which means a 15% discount.

HOWEVER, there most likely will be people backing out which means we'll be back down to 10%.

So, what Stephen is planning to do, is contact another supplier to see if they won't agree to a group buy and maybe pit the two against each other to get a deal (or better deal).

As soon as I get another update, I'll let you all know.

I know that Kammy is still trying to get this together, suppliers not coperating.. But just in case they decide to go with it.. we should probably get a more up to date count of who is still interested in it. I know I am desperately needing a top and cables...

1. Your Cab's year 1991
2. Canvas or vinyl? White Vinyl
3. Headliner? yes
4. Insulation pad? yes
5. Cables: Side only? Rear only? All of 'em? side only
6. Timeframe of when you need the top or will be able to buy the top Spring would be good

Stephen must've been sucked into serving on a jury; haven't heard from him since he said he was going to "jury selection day" and he hasn't posted on the Tex in two weeks or more. :?

We're all anxious to get this thing done, but if you hang tight we might get around 15-25% discount (so long as everyone who's on the list commits to buying when the time comes).

Will let you all know when I get an update (or when the thing is finally underway, whichever comes first). Stephen already has your info if you've posted it up. 8)

If this group buy is indeed available to Canucks, count me in:

1. Your Cab's year 1990
2. Canvas or vinyl? blue vinyl
3. Headliner? no
4. Insulation pad? no
5. Cables: Side only? Rear only? All of 'em? side only
6. Timeframe of when you need the top or will be able to buy the top any time before October 2006, which is when winter hits Canada

Just out of curiosity: does the (almost double) price of canvas give me any benefits with respect to durability? I've heard people say that they both last about ten years, and canvas is simply nicer looking and easier to clean.
I gots me a yellow '90 Cabrio with automatic tranny. It's one of only two yellow Cabrios I've ever seen. My greatest desire is to pop a diesel engine in there and run it offa veggie oil. Dat is all I haff to say here.
