Today, I got good new, and not so good news. then again I got the windows and doors all adjusted. I fixed the b-pillar seal on the passengers side, removed The seal on the top for the pillar is defunct...but I got a set off ebay....so that will take care of that.
I also got the top adjusted, and found out why the top didn't lay flat. Bent struts. I took the ones off my old cabby :) . Cleaned the door and passengers card cleaned painted the grill on the tweeters, cleaned the center console, and took care of the rusty guages but alas, I took out all the bulbs...sheeeeeeeeeit. Time to order some more leds. I got the ciggie lighter working, and the kneebar cleaned. It was a progressive day.... Couldn't get it to pass emissions, bad cat.... And to top of my day my daughter got in a wreck in Savannha so I have to motor that way tomorrow to inspect it. I think it is time to total.... Her fault, improper lane change. So all in all it have been a mediocre day....but I did have me corned beef and cabbage.

Now does anyone round here have a Truck and a trailer......lol

nope on her old pos I carry liability and heavy medical.

Drove to Savanah today, got there at 10:30, didn't get to see the car till 2. by 2:30 I had paid all the fees, and for 125, got them to deliver it to her Apt in Statesboro.

Damage:

bumper
drivers fender and inner fender marker light.
strut bent
rim bent
possible the cv is gone, but still under warranty,
passenger fender
hood.

seems the fender buckled right and forced the hood up and into the top lip of the other fender.

The strut tower is not damaged, and the tie-rod and rack appear good.
the fram is still a RCH away from all the belts and things, so there is no frame damage. The strut took the hit.

Going to start aquiring the parts then run down there in the van....

Oh its a H@#$a.

Went to the wreckers today, and got a set of white vaccuum balls...gonna see how they fit, and a Seat bottom bolster from a passenger seat to repair the bolster in my drivers seat, and a seat hinge cover.

Have to buy another Cat and get it installed, next week, but the top is on order, and I am getting cracking on finishing the cleaning, for B-A-P.

Got some other little goodies ie: a original working vw check valve, I don't like the replacement I am after al a stock kinda guy.

thats the best glue i've ever used!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

at work i wear rubber boots cuz i'm always in about 2" of water and i use gorilla glue on them when they get cuts and start to leak.
works GREAT and last a LONG time even with all the chemicals i use.

The new radiator Jug came in the mail, and I was torn up, shoudl I buy the Cat for 80, and install it and be fussing and cussing for a couple of hours, or... for 170 have it installed with a 2 year warranty....

30 minutes later I was driving away from my favorite muffler shop with a new cat.....

I ain't stupid.....somethings are better left to the pros.

Besides I got to see the under side of the car, and it was awesome....
There was a brand new gas tank.....and a brand new Primary pump for the gas.... cool beans.

Now tomorrow I get the emissions tested as the same muffler shop....and 2 tires and a alignment......then it is all down hill. The top was shipped today.....

Got it to pass the emissions, damn another hollow cat.. go figure.

Got the tires mounted, and found that the centering rings for the rims aren't there....so they come in tomorrow, then I can get it aligned.
drives a whole lot better but I still get the squiggy feeling from not centered tires....

Got it tagged and titled today, but took longer than i planed and I didn't get it flushed...will try that tomorrow....

I will keep an eye out for them for ya. I will be in a wrecking yard most of next week.

Well I didn't get to the Radiator yet. But I got the seats out and cleaned Front only the rails lubed, and rust free. Replaced the bolster foam on the drivers seat.

Tomorrow is the thermostat radiator flush and new return jug..... Then I can leave the engine a bit as get on to the rear seats and trunk, then I can get to the Top the week after next.

The radiator is flushed, all clean and shine inside and out. It took way longer than expected as the o-ring didn't seat and it started to drip when hot.

Got it all taken care of and it is rock solid......

hung the white balls instead of the black one. Look sharpe, but I have decided to paint them gold. The contrast of the Gold Balls on the green hood will be sweet.

Tomorrow the centering rings will be in, I ordered VW logo for the center caps.

Also Tie rod ends....
