Stress bars

Does anybody have a favorite brand and or combination of stress bars and sway bars that they recommend? I'm looking at Eurosport right now but I have no opinion whatsoever and would appreciate some input. The car has 15X7's on it with Shine Racing springs and Boge Turbo's dampening the movement. No drop. It will be driven very aggressively and some brake and engine modifications will follow. Thanks in advance.

Nuspeed/Eurosport might as well be the same. I have nuspeed bars in my wifes caby and my 16v rocco and I have no complaints. I have friends that use the eurosport setups and they like them as well. Autotech makes a nice adjustable upper stress bar, but if you like to have looks as well as fucntion, the autotech bar is a bit ugly.

The choice is up to you, I think they are all on the same playing field untill you get into the heavy racing stuff.

An adjustable stress bar? What does the adjustment do? If the adjustment actually varies the distance between the upper strut mounts, you run the risk off screwing up the caster/camber. I suppose you could adjust it and then have an alignment done, but that would defeat the purpose of the adjustment. I'm sure there's an explanation, but I think I'll stick with the simple kind, I'm the kind of idiot that can't leave anything alone and would most likely have to play with the thing and wear my tires out in a week. Do you have the adjustable one lowcab? Thanks for the input.

It's not adjustablet o where you could meter how much tention you are puttin on the bar. And in all honesty it looks as though the adjustment piece is really just there to help with putting the bar in place. I've put a few solid upper bars on and it can be a real PITA to get them in place. The autotech bar eliminates that problem by allowing slack that can then be taken out with the adjustment nuts in the center of the bar. I guess it would also allow for super tension to be applied, but I don't think it would be enough to actuall cause any outward movement of the strut towers themselves. Well, unless they are rusty as hell and then I don't think I'd be driving that car anyway.

lowcab, as far as the autotech bar being ugly, well you know what I mean. It's a personal preference kinda a thing. But it's all good in the hood mang. Rock what ya like, to hell with what everyone else thinks.

Just for installation makes sense. I like the look of the polished aluminum but I'm not sure how well it's going to take the winters up here, lots of road grime and salt. Besides, the car isn't now, or ever will be show quality. Which do you guys think adds the most stiffness overall, the lower or the upper?

i have both, but only the upper is installed. the lower is off a 16v rocco but since mine is still an automatic it won't fit. i've heard the the lower makes the most improvement... maybe someday i'll find out!

I have heard the same thing about the lower being more effective, I believe I'm going to start there. Now I just need to settle on brand and 2 point vs. 4 point.

i would go 4 point. they look stronger.
