Power steering belt problem
Hello everyone, just purchased a 1987 Cabriolet for the other half. The problem I am having is that I went to replace the v belts for the alt. and power steering and I hate to say it but after 30 years of playing with cars I found I could not get the power steering belt off. I have loosen the bolts that I think relate to the power steering adjustment but I can not get the v belt loose enough to remove. What am I doing wrong or what is there about this system that I do not see, Thanks guys for any help.

Re: Power steering belt problem
there are 3 bolts that you have to loosen the one for the adjuster and the other two, one on the back side and one on the front that allow it to pivot.
You can take the hole think off, but you still have to fight that belt to get it off over the pulley lip
