Hi guys my name is Fermin im from North Carolina USA. Im originally from puerto Rico i just became the owner of a flawlwss 1988 Cabrio. I have alot of plans for it i might do a 16v swap with webers or turbo the 16v dont know yet but with the price of gas i might keep the 8v for a while....lol here are some pics of my car and also i would like to see some of yours...... thank you for the space..

Honestly a stock 16v will get around the same miles per gallon as a stock 8v as long as you drive it pretty easy. At least this is the case with our 2.0L 16v GLI and my 1.8 8v Scirocco. Both of them are getting around 28-29 mpg down here in Savannah with almost all city driving.

Well currently I'm Savannah, GA but do go up to Chattanooga a lot since that is where my in-laws and some of my cars are. I would be up for a GTG once we get our '88 Cabby though.

Actually, it's not exactly the same... it's an Azur model from Canada which means the color is Light Blue Metallic (LD5U); it's close to Sapphire, but not quite.

"Azur" thats what i was told.... the car i was told came from Germany through canada i ran the Vin # and got all the info on it. it has Kilometers instead of MPH and it also has a block warmer plug, i will post more pics soon.
