Clutch pedel / cable

Post by Greubin »

Just got from work..barely. I lost the clutch pedal on the way home, by that I mean the cable is fine, but the firewall fixture that holds the cable broke!! Anyone know if this is a fixture that can be replaced or is it part of the body / firewall?

It's galvanized pipe from any hardware store, I think 3/4". A short stub of pipe nipple is screwed into the back or bottom side of a floor flange, the flange of the floor flange was cut down to sit flat against the firewall.
I had a choice of using a sawzall or hand files, I sawzalled it. I would have preferred to use a die grinder and cut off wheel, none was available at the time of repair.
