That one being gone can cause problems like you are having. They do rot out and fall away. You can try jamming a new bushing from a Mark II into there, or you can just buy a full replacement. Dude, you go through way to many of those. Either they don't make plastic parts like they used to, or you have something else wrong. Did you attache a bilge pump from a destroyer to the car to act as the water pump or something?

Sounds like there's no spark happening in that motor. Have you checked to make sure there is actual spark?
