Well this is an old post but is weird because I had AC and have the 2 prong wire on my 85 vw cab. The new fan I got is 3 prong. Worried if I hook up to wrong 2 blades on fan I'll burnt it out.

Hi All, My vw started stalling when I push the clutch in. Restarts right away and drives fine. But as soon as I push in the clutch the idle drops and it stalls. Only other symptom I noticed is sometimes if I floor it it will start to stutter and then pick back up. Otherwise I can drive 75MPH all day...

My pulley seems diff from yours. There is no way it will extend far enuf to have good alignment with washers and still engage the key to turn the shaft. The A/C does not work anyway, I am only replacing belt cause its squealing. Maybe I should just figure out where to get a part to bypass it entirely.

Well I cut the AC belt off. I don't see how you slip the new one onto the pull w/o removing the crankshaft belt.??
